Priorities Health Social Care Partnerships Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova UK Priority areas Applications for funding must aim to improve the quality of, and access to health and social services . They should indicate how lessons learned will be disseminated to achieve a wider impact beyond the project itself and should respond to a minimum of three of the following criteria: Projects should have a poverty focus. They should aim to assist the poorest and those in neglected groups Use of an evidence-based approach and cost-effective care to service provision where appropriate or available Promote concepts of multi-disciplinary client orientated approaches and practices, user friendliness and accessibility Social care projects should involve outreach activities and community-based interventions, particularly through self-help and advocacy groups Priority will be given to projects that are or have potential for linkages in the following topic areas: In Health: * Sexual and reproductive health * Safe motherhood, mother and child, family planning * TB * Mental health * Health systems reform especially projects which shift resources from secondary to primary care In Social Care: * social services for vulnerable groups * strengthening of crisis centres * support to vulnerable children * social care for older people Plus issues which cut across all sectors such as HIV/AIDS __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Funded by DFID Managed by HLSP Consulting This site is maintained by Toby Cave .
